Introducing the brand-new 210 Markland Condos proposed 12-storey mixed-use condominium structures created by Diamond Schmitt Architects for Hazel view Investments on the northeast corner of Markland Drive and Bloor Street West, in Toronto's Markland Wood. There would be landscaping and pedestrian connections to divide the buildings.
It is suggested to extend Millwood Park's west side by 2,610m2, adding a strip of 20m wide that runs the length of the property from Bloor to Silverthorne Bush Drive. It's a section of Markland Wood and is right next to Millwood Park, which has a baseball diamond and a forest. The Bloor West 49 TTC bus route that travels by the location and the MiWay buses that also go down Bloor Street make it a transit-friendly location. These services are available to anyone traveling to or from Mississauga.
According to the idea, two development blocks would be added to the site, two to the southwest and two to the northeast of the existing structure, and four mid-rise residential structures would be built. The four new structures would each have 12 floors and a height of 46 meters. A driveway was shared by all the blocks. A total of 347m2 of ground-level retail space would be present in the buildings facing Bloor Street. The site's overall floor space index would increase to 3.37 times thanks to the new structures, which would have a total size of 41,902m2.
